From July 2nd to 4th, 2025, the 27th China International Motor Expo and Development Forum grandly kicked off at the Shanghai New International Expo Center. This industry event, which has been accumulated for over two decades, was themed "Intelligence Drives the Future: With the core theme of "New Breakthroughs in High-Efficiency Motors and Green Manufacturing", it gathers global industry elites, showcases cutting-edge technological achievements, and builds a top-level platform integrating industrial exhibitions, trade negotiations, and academic exchanges, injecting strong impetus into the high-quality development of China's motor industry.
As the leading exhibition in China's motor industry, the scale of this expo has reached a new high. The exhibition area reached 40,000 square meters, attracting nearly a thousand high-quality exhibitors from home and abroad to gather together. Among them were international giants such as Siemens, ABB, Fuji, and Kmorgan, as well as leading domestic enterprises like CRRC Group, Wannan Electric Motor, Sima Electric Motor, and Hebei Electric Motor, comprehensively covering the entire upstream and downstream chain of the motor industry. At the exhibition site, a wide variety of cutting-edge motor products were on display: high-end products such as high-efficiency permanent magnet motors, explosion-proof motors, and servo motors demonstrated technological breakthroughs; application-oriented products like new energy vehicle motors and household appliance motors met market demands; and specialized equipment such as traction motors and special motors showcased strength in their respective fields. Meanwhile, motor control systems and devices, magnetic materials, production and manufacturing equipment, testing instruments and other supporting products were showcased simultaneously. From core components to overall solutions, a complete industrial ecosystem display was formed, allowing tens of thousands of professional visitors to gain a one-stop insight into the latest industry trends.
A global perspective and professional alignment are the distinct features of this expo. The exhibition attracted participants from over 40 countries and regions. Besides the Chinese mainland, Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan, enterprises and purchasers from the United States, Germany, the United Kingdom, Japan, South Korea, India and other countries also attended, building a diversified international cooperation network. The visitors covered multiple application fields such as mechanical equipment, power transmission, automobiles, electrical appliances, and fans. Well-known enterprises including China Aerospace, Schaeffler, GE, Bosch, SAIC Motor, Gree Electric Appliances, and Haier all sent representatives to attend and negotiate. According to statistics, 87% of the visitors to this exhibition reached cooperation intentions with exhibitors, fully demonstrating the core value of the exhibition in promoting business connections and expanding market channels, and becoming an important bridge connecting the supply and demand sides of the domestic and international motor industry.
In addition to the rich display of exhibits, the China International Motor High-Quality Development Forum held concurrently is also a high ground for the collision of ideas. The forum invited industry leaders, experts and scholars, as well as representatives of core enterprises in the industrial chain to conduct in-depth discussions on hot topics such as technological innovation of high-efficiency motors, the integration of green manufacturing and the "dual carbon" goals, the application expansion of motors in the new energy field, and the coordinated development of intelligent manufacturing and Industry 4.0. At the opening ceremony, an award ceremony was also held, where multiple awards such as the 2025 China Motor Industry Quality Innovation Enterprise Award and the Quality Supplier Award were selected to encourage enterprises to deeply engage in technological research and development and promote the construction of an industry innovation ecosystem. In addition, the exhibition also provides comprehensive opportunities for communication and cooperation for industry professionals through activities such as product launches, technical salons, and one-on-one business matching, helping enterprises grasp the development trends of the industry and seize the competitive edge in the market.
After more than two decades of unremitting efforts, the China International Motor Expo has evolved from a single exhibition event into a significant force driving the progress of the industry.
